House Plan Design & Drafting Services Pty Ltd (ABN 74 542 321 461) (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through houseplandrafting.com.au and quote.houseplandrafting.com.au, why we collect it, and how you can access or correct it.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
When you fill in a form on our website, call or email us, we collect the details you give us, which can include:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your suburb, the service you are interested in, your approximate budget and when you would like to start;
- a description of your project; and
- photos, plans or other files you choose to attach (these may show your property or its address).
When you send a form, our website also records the page you sent it from, the date and time, and how you reached our website (for example the Google Ads click ID, campaign or search keyword, or that you came from another website). Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser type, for security.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health or financial account details). Please do not include it in your message or files.
Your consent
Our enquiry forms ask you to tick a box to agree to this policy before you send your details. By ticking it, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described here and to us contacting you about your enquiry by phone or email. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (details below). If you do not want to give us your details, you can still call us on 0404 013 693, but we may not be able to prepare a quote without them.
Why we collect it and how we use it
- to reply to your enquiry, book a discovery session or call you back;
- to prepare a quote and, if you engage us, to provide our design and drafting services;
- to prepare and lodge documents with councils, certifiers and consultants when your project needs them;
- for invoicing, record keeping and meeting our legal obligations; and
- to understand which of our ads and web pages bring enquiries, so we can improve them.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list; we only contact you about your enquiry or project unless you ask us to do otherwise.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run our website and email: Web3Forms (delivers website form messages to our inbox), Google Workspace (our email), and our website hosting provider (stores files you attach to a form).
- People involved in your project, if you engage us: for example councils, private certifiers, engineers, BASIX assessors and other consultants, only as needed for your project.
- Others where the law requires or allows it.
Overseas
Some of our service providers (including Web3Forms and Google) may store or process information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We use well-known providers and take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled securely.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website does not set its own advertising cookies. To know which ad or page led to an enquiry, it keeps the ad details from the web address in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
Some pages load Google Maps and Google Fonts, which receive your IP address from your browser. We may use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure visits and enquiries; these Google services may set cookies. You can control Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Storage and security
Enquiries are kept in our password-protected business email. Files you attach are stored by our hosting provider at private links that cannot be guessed and are not shown in search engines. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above and our legal record-keeping obligations, and then delete or de-identify it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
